Seyaj has ranked 12th among organizations specialized in protecting children and women in the world.

Seyaj’s classification came as part of the global Pixel project as a tribute to its “serious human solidarity and honest work in combating violence against women and children.” It is also the only Arab organization on this list, which includes 16 human rights organizations and networks from all over the world.

Seyaj works on combating the marriage of young girls during the current war as part of a protection program funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which focused on strengthening local protection systems, raising community awareness of the dangers of early marriage, and providing legal aid and advocacy for the victims. Seyaj has organised women’s protection committees in governorates with the greatest rates of child marriage, including Ibb, Hajjah, Al-Hodeidah, and Al-Mahweet.

In 2013, Seyaj produced the film Tragic Weddings, funded by the American Middle East Initiative (MEPI).

Since its establishment in 2008, Seyaj has been working to promote and protect children’s rights by addressing grave violations, especially sexual violence, recruitment, involvement in armed conflicts, child marriage, execution, trafficking, organ trafficking, and other serious violations.
